    Hi Guys

We have installed virgin media BB in work its a modem that has Lan ports and two analogue lines in the modem.

We are setting up some yealink voip phones. We would like to be able to answer the two analogue lines through the yealink phones. is it just a case of put the analogue cable in to an analogue adapter like this http://www.grandstream.com/products/gateways-and-atas/analog-telephone-adaptors/product/handytone-702/704

and then the lan into the back of the yealink phone.

No that is for the reverse solution called FXS Gateway when you want to use an analog phone (like an existing dect analog system) with a VoIP number. You need an FXO gateway to route to an IP system (usually a PBX and then to an IP extension like your Yealink phones). Do you have a PBX like Asterisk in the office?

    Thanks for the reply.

No we have three modems and each modem has two analogue lines. We were hoping to use the voip phones and by using an adapter of some sort we could use the analogue numbers through the voip phone.

    I hope that makes sense

    TIA

What you need is something like this

    Grandstream 6100 series
    Pricing on Voipon.co.uk

This will allow you to have normal PBX type capabilities like inter extension calling, transfer, conferencing, queues etc and route your analogue lines in through the FXO ports
Should solve what you are trying to do

if you already have VoIP phones do you also have a VoiP accounts setup on them? If so then you dont need to plug anything into the analogue ports. if you need to use the numbers that are allocated to the analogue ports then either purchase analogue phones and plug then directly into the ports or setup an account with the likes of http://www.blueface.ie or http://www.goldfish.ie and have the numbers ported and use the VoiP handsets that you have already purchased

If its an office environment then he will likely still need a PBX of some sort - extensions, receptionist etc. He could switch to VoIP or use analogue or both with the PBX FXO setup.
