Has anyone noticed the increase in algae on the east coast at the moment? Loads of it at Seapoint and getting worse.
What's the cause of it at the moment? Increase in sea temperatures?

It was sampled last week and reported as excellent but since then the weather has been a lot of warm sun lately which may have caused a bloom since then.

Yeah, I think it was towards the end of last week I started to notice it. It was out in Dalkey on Saturday too.
Does it have any health issues for swimming in it?

That website lists Dollymount as being excellent on 6,7,9,11,12 June yet Dublin City Council brought in a temporary bathing ban on June 9th due to sewage washing up on the beach due to heavy rainfall?
