New house issues

    Hello,
We've recently moved to a new house in an estate. The front part of the estate is wired for broadband but the newer (c.10-15 houses) part is missing the underground wires.
I've had KN Group out to try to connect my house but need a new 25 person line installed before they can connect my house. I've been waiting weeks already and can't get on to anyone in Eir or OpenEir to give a proper update as it seems to be the wholesale team's job and they don't speak to anyone.
We've also got poor mobile phone signals in our house.
Is there any advice people could give me to help speed this up / improve our service?

Get all the residents together, and have each of them send an email into the department in Eir. A volume push is what drives these things. Eir could end upo with just 2 customers from your request buy if you can demonstrate more interest then you will get a better response.

Weeks is nothing when it comes to that kinda work. If the council have taken it in charge there'll be a licence required, if not negotiations with the developer. Small jobs like a single row could get forecasted up to 3 months away by the local field line manager.

Strangely enough, Actavo arrived yesterday to put in this superfast Gigabit broadband, I think for Vodafone through the ESB network, however, I don't think it'll be live for another 2 months or so! Arghh!!
No sign of Eir - estate is not taken in charge by council yet. Not sure if that helps or not.
