Any suggestions on who to get drinkers from. Am looking for a good few around 300 gal mark. Only ones I know of are glanbia and Murphy Concrete. Preferably in southeast. And think I want bottom fill.

I bought mcmahon troughs, having a bit of buyers regret, finish is a bit rough and drinkets are deeper would be bettter to have a shallower trough with move space for cows to drink

Avoid mcmahon's aswell same as yewtree,
finish is rough and and I've 4 only 3 years and all ballcocks replaced and hairline cracks in a few already.

I got the ones Dairygold sell from a fella in Tipp and way smoother finished and a heavier trough

If I was putting in a good few or setting up a new system I'd be going with moores all the way. Well finished and well designed.

I got few concrete ones from coop. Top fill with a big rubber bung for a drain. Good solid trough. https://www.coopsuperstores.ie/Farming/Farm-Hardware--Equipment/Water-Troughs/Top-Fill-Concrete-Water-Trough-300gallon-0740526

Consider low pressure ball cocks rather than standard ones. Not a fan of the Phil mac high flow ones either.

They're the Spillane troughs that are selling in Dairygold

How old are yours? We bought ten last year and all are 3/4 inch inlet and outlet. No issue when them yet

Anyone have any recommendations for good drinkers to use in slatted house? Doing suckler shed at moment. Have various types here over years and all gave some sort of trouble. Fellow I know says he put in these ones where the cow must push to get water out and found them good

    http://www.odonovaneng.ie/product/f40/

Don't know if would want to leave bigger head room for cow to get in at them though - and presume may not work for calves.

    Some alternative ideas for thought.

Depends on your layout but some ppl have a hole in the wall of shed for animals to reach a standard field trough.

Other idea other there is to have a single ball clock on a tank and connect all troughs together. Only one ballcock to maintain then.

Worth not forgetting the cold winters and freezing pipes either though and protecting pipes
