Hi, not familiar at all with Dublin.
Have to travel from Kilkenny to Malahide Golf club on Wednesday evening. Need to arrive for 7.00pm, what time should I leave Kilkenny at and will I run into much traffic? Sorry about the stupid questions but any help or advice would be much appreciated.

If you download the Waze app you can pre plan journeys. Put your destination in and select later, you can tell it when you want to arrive. It'll give you a reminder when the time comes to leave and has live traffic so takes that into account.

Google maps will give give you accurate time including traffic information, use it around the same time a couple of days in a row and you will not be far off.
