Post graduate study in Germany - anyone done it?

    I may be interested in pursuing a fine-art, postgraduate course in Germany.

    I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has any experience of studying in Germany.

    My main concerns would be....

    1. Language issues. Do some institutions permit study through English?
    2. Distance learning. Possible at post-grad level, or is full-time attendance mandatory? (I'm presuming this would be course-specific, anyway.)
    3. Fees; how expensive? Any grant aid?

    Any other advice?
