Can I visit my GP for free and get Medical Card on the Long Term Illness Scheme?

I was wondering if anyone else with Cerebral Palsy on here has been successful with this?

Does qualifying for the Long Term Illness Scheme automatically qualify you for a Medical Card?

    Thanks

No, to automatic medical card or free gp visits. It would depend on your individual financial circumstances, I have an LTI card and it covers me for my meds only.
