I need Insurance Cover!

    I'm new to EBay. I'm hoping to sell some coins worth approx €1500.
    How do I insure the item for posting in case of loss or theft?
    An Post won't insure. One courier company will insure but only with proof of value which I don't have.

    Contact an insurance broker maybe? I don't know if goods in transit insurance is applicable, but you could ask.

    Would one of the larger couriers like DHL or UPS not offer it?

    I rang DHL- they won't transport coins. It looks like UPS will transport but they have a maximum payout for loss etc which would not fully cover the cost of the item. I may have to check out Whiterebels suggestion.

    Personally I'd be very slow to put such on Ebay. Too easy to play the system and scam you.
