Passed after six lessons. Had no history, family or otherwise, of trucks.
Terrified on the first lesson, I felt like you were taking up 3/4 of the road. The instructor kept shouting "keep out of the hedge" "You're in the hedge again" and "mind my mirrors"!
    You'll manage the best.

I passed my C in 1999 and my EC in 2014 (wagon and drag). I had no previous experience of truck driving at the start. In both cases I booked a group of lessons (12 hours for C and 12 hours EC) before taking (and passing) my test(s).

It can seem very daunting at the start, but if you really want to get your C (or EC) licence keep at it. It's only through driving experience that you gain confidence in your abilities to cope with different situations, the size of the truck, etc etc.
