I'd actually keep it close enough to the photo in terms of styling. Gorgeous dress. I would add a jacket or wrap of some kind for the church (bare shoulders and all that)

Thanks, it's not a church wedding. Would gold not be a better colour for shoes and bag?

I personally wouldn't, gold just isn't my style. It would work though.

But I just think that the dress is such a strong colour, that I wouldn't put other strong colours like gold up against it .

Stunning dress..I wouldn't accessorise with anything chunky..gold would be fine imo but just really thin chain/bracelet.

I'm like a magpie and wear metallics whenever I can but that dress is wrong style for that. It's crochet type stuff so you are better with leather sandals in natural colors.

Thanks for all your replies. I had tried on some cream straply sandal stilettos with it but it looked wrong. Perhaps it was the ankle strap and the fact the dress is a midi length?
What about a pointed court shoe? Is the same colour as dress a bit naff?

Don't get shoes the same colour! Thin strappy or courts, gold or nude. Saw it on someone recently it's a fab dress!

I think cream could look a bit twee, so not surprised you didnt like that. I do think its lovely as styled, but I'm guessing you think gold would make it more formal for a wedding?

    I think gold/bronze would work - once they're a muted shade and not brash/shiney.

These bronze shoes are nice I think! A slightly less expected choice than gold.

I'd put a taupe coloured shoe or sandal with that dress.
I wouldn't put a metallic with it but bronze would be better than gold IMO.
