    Hi all

My boxer has Inflammatory Bowel Disease and only this week was advised to change his food to Royal Canin Anallergenic. UCD vets gave us a 3kg bag of Royal Canin Anallergenic and we have ordered another 8kg from Miscota on Tuesday. We paid for quick delivery but it hasnt come yet. Normally not an issue but we are going on holidays on Sunday and need to give the kennels the food before we go. Anyone know of somewhere in Louth/Meath/North County Dublin that might have some in stock...? I only have tomorrow to get it as I'm working today. :(

    Thanks

    Rats

Start calling around vets who might have it in stock or be able to get it for you? I'd call today in case they can order and have it tomorrow?

Try Cara Vet in Ballycoolin - they have a big food storage room... We had to walk up and down the corridor last week for the vet to look at how my dog's leg was moving after an operation and he stopped outside the room for a sniff and look in lol :p. Their displays etc in the waiting room is all RC stuff ;)

You could maybe go for one of the Hills prescription foods either to get you over the holidays. They would do a similar version of what you are looking for with RC.
I know when I was looking for some RC gastro diet food most of the vets only stocked hills so I went with their version of the Gastro as it did the same job.
Would be better than having to use normal food.
Zoo Plus seems to be a better company for reliability for those kind of foods. I looked at that miscota and I didn't see great reviews on it so I ordered from zooplus. Takes up to a week to come so give yourself plenty of time when reordering.

Last time I was in Lissenhall vets just outside of Swords they had loads of different bags of the Royal Canin stuff. Not sure if they had that particular one but worth checking.

Thanks for that. He is currently on Hills ZD which he loves but hasn't worked for him. We ordered that from Zooplus but when ordering the Royal Canin they had none in stock. Going to try a few places in the morning!

I know that its not ideal, but if you can't get any, and you have enough for a few days, could you order some more, and get it delivered to the kennels direct?

I have about half a 3kg bag left which I'm still mixing with the ZD Hills stuff. I wanted him completely on the RC food before we left but I'll probably just have to wait and move him completely when I'm back. It's ordered from Miscota and was supposed to be delivered in 48-72 hours. Don't think I'll pay for 'express' delivery again!
