Hi guys wondering can you help me as i am trying to work out what hoildays i can take over the next few months.

I have been in my role for 4 months now and I work a 39 hour week. I have took 1 day off and 2.5 hours off one evening. My contact says 8.66% of hours worked will be holidays.

So how many days Holiday will i be due ?.

As i am thinking its about 4 or 5 ?.

20 days annual leave divided by 12 months multiplied for 4 months equals 6.66 days. So you have 5.5 days left.

The calculations above are the amount you are statutorily entitled to, under the terms of your contract which allow for 8.66% leave for hours worked instead of the standard 8%, you contractually may be entitled to more annual leave provided your contract doesn't say something like "up to a maximum of 20 days leave per year", if it does say that then my calculations above are correct, if it doesn't then you are entitled to even more days.

The contact says max 20 holidays a year so in 6 months 10 days.

    So 1.66 a month so

6.64 holidays i get for the 4 months.

Was trying to work out thanks lads Working them out is the worst thing ever when you dont have a system for them !!!.
