With that budget second hand is definitely the best option.

There are some real bargains to be had on Adverts for around €600. It's going to be a hell of a lot better than anything new for that money.

i5/i7 instead of pentium. GTX 970 instead of a 1050ti. 16GB of ram instead of 8. etc.

I'd chance my arm and offer €600 for this if I was you. Unless you're miles from Dublin. Then find something closer to home.

You should probably add a HDD to that too. I'd say a 450W power supply should be enough though others may have more insight into that than me.

Maybe faster ram but otherwise looks good. The whole PC would pull less than 300w under full load so I'd say anything 430w and above is perfectly fine. A HDD is the easiest thing to add later so I think for a while a 250GB SSD will be fine. I just use a 200GB SSD and then I have external drives for storing stuff.

EVGA 430 is ?33.99 on Amazon with free delivery, or was a few days ago - used it for a 1050 TI/G4560 budget build a few weeks back and it worked very well - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M9EX1AD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . G4560/1050 TI did very well on everything we played it on from GTA V to Witcher 3 to Shadow of Mordor to Civ VI by the way, typically on high settings (graphics) and med/high (CPU stuff on the more demanding games like Witcher). You can get GTX 1050 TIs second hand off Amazon also, they've an excellent 30 day return policy for if you have any issues (and they cover the cost of the return post).

I've done a minorbit of fiddling around with Mickeroo's build (CPU price wasn't showing for some reason so had to do manually, moved to a £1-2 more expensive motherboard as it the other had £6 delivery which likely would have been more again to Ireland, got you to 16GB RAM (at £92 it was just too good value not to), changed to a lower cost 1050 TI, a lower cost PSU and added an HDD).

€611.37 - pay in GBP on Amazon, not Euro - they add about 5c to their exchange rate so you'd be giving them an extra €12 or so for absolutely no reason. You can get below €600 on 8GB RAM but the value there was too good (one 8GB stick costs £60).

Although if the budget can go up to €633, curious what others might think of this... downgrade on the SSD and RAM, but upgrading to a 1500X CPU. It will work very, very well - the only issue is that you might run out of storage quite quick, but if you stash a tenner a week away you should be able to get a 1TB HDD in a month or so. Toshiba P300, WD Blue and Seagate Barracuda are all good models that thend to be around ?40 on Amazon UK (should be free delivery at that price too) so just go for whatever is on the lowest price at the time. Only real thing to check is that it is 7200RPM.

Thanks. I forgot to mention at the start of the post, that I have a 1TB HDD. It is only 5400RPM, so I'll stick with it for a while, and look to upgrade it then.

It will be a bit slow, but yeah that will suffice short term - also if you plan on building up a big library of old school emulators, movies etc then it will be a handy one to hold on to even when you do go up to a 7200RPM.

54000rpm is fine as a back up/storage drive, thats what I have in my rig. You just have to be prudent and only install games you're playing to the SSD. Delete something when it's finished or you're not really playing it anymore and you'll always have space.
