I have some weanling bulls that are about 8 months old and will be going to the mart soon and I am wondering would it make more sense to castrate them and send them to the mart or just send them to the mart as bulls?

Bulls all day long , they won't go back on ya and never limit your market outlets by making steers out of them

At that age, let the next guy castrate them.

As above, Leave them as they are. They may also be suitable for export if left whole.

What do lads reckon is the best age to squeeze? Normally sell at weanlings but looking into holding for bullocks

They thrive best up to a year old as full bulls. I'd leave them be

When I used keep them I'd squeeze while still on cows 2 weeks before weaning at 7-8 months and they would be grand then going into shed, swelling gone, dosed, vaccinated and eating meal so minimal stress and no set back following spring squeezing string Bulls
