Buying selling shares, how do you do it?

I studied economics for 4 years in university with some finance modules and did well in it. But I haven't an actual clue about buying shares themselves :D. Just wondering what people use to buy or trade their shares/bonds. Would davy be best to set up an account to say buy 5k worth of shares or is there any other online…

Have you searched this forum? This "how do i buy shares" is asked so regularly - there are loads of threads with getting started information. Degiro is cheapest online broker.
