Scrappage deal terms & conditions

I'm about to take the plunge and buy a new car, taking advantage of a scrappage deal (€3,500 against my car which might be worth €500 at a push).

My car is 2001, has a full NCT and I've owned it for 4 years.

However, just this morning I went to start the car to find it wouldn't start. The problem is the fuel pump, which now needs to replaced.

My question is, will a dealer still take the car as part of the scrappage deal, or do I need to get it running again?

    Any advice appreciated!

Talk to the dealer, should be fine. They may insist on your getting the car to the dealership at your expense.
