Wind tight tape on a cold roof.

Hi all construction experts, wondering on whether or not to bother with taping the joints of the breather felt underlay on our cold roof construction to make it windtight. Does it make any difference in a cold roof construction? If was a warm roof I can see the logic in doing it but not for a cold roof. Any opinions?
