No. Skoda have removed build weeks off the system so dealers can't see when they are due to be built which then gives the eta.

I've 2 on order with different dealers. Both ordered 28th March and best guess is week 28 build for early August delivery, but that's still a guess.

got following info from uk website

"I have some bad news for orders with DSG and good news for other orders. On German forum a guy from Switzerland posted that email that he had received (Google translated):

    'ŠKODA Disposition: KODIAQ Delivery situation

    Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

The advance sale and the launch of the new KODIAQ were a complete success. The huge demand for the KODIAQ is extremely pleasing and shows that we have the right offer for our customers with our new SUV models.

This extraordinary success and the large number of orders lead, unfortunately, to partly very long delivery periods. In addition, the DSG transmissions for the 2.0 TSI 180 hp as well as 2.0 TDI 150 hp and 190 hp engines are subject to severe restrictions due to supplier bottlenecks. These delivery bottlenecks are expected to be fixed by production week 29/2017. Up to this point, only isolated vehicles are built with these engine / gearbox combinations.
In order to improve the situation and reduce the order backlog, we have defined the following measures with the manufacturer.

    1) Until and with KW 21/2017 only customer orders are ordered according to the date of order in ascending order. The above-mentioned restrictions, however, lead to individual vehicles with a later order date, which however have a buildable engine / transmission combination. This is necessary so that we do not lose production places.

    2) In KW 22 and 23/2017 only warehousing vehicles are planned for production. Partners with a yearly target up to and with 150 vehicles receive 1 storage vehicle

    3) From KW 24 up to the factory holidays in KW 27/28 customer orders will be reduced as per point 1.

Once these measures have been completed, we will inform you about the next steps.

Please note that there are no restrictions for vehicles with manual transmission and the 1.4 TSI 150 PS DSG and the vehicles can be partly scheduled in time.

We would like to wish you a lot of success with the new KODIAQ and will be glad to answer your questions.

    With kind regards
AMAG Automotive and Engines Ltd, Dispo Skoda"

I've given up asking about my wife's one on order. At the time of order I was told to expect it around now .. but still no clue as to when.

Fortunately we are in no rush ... but I'm expecting to see it in September. Ordered back in march

The honest answer that dealers would love to give is that "it will come when it comes", but that's not really acceptable to give to customers.

I'm in sales myself and fortunately I fully understand .. I prefer the 'I haven't al clue' response to a made up delivery date

Was told my car would be made, september/october. Got a call from the dealer out of the blue this morning to say the car had landed and can be picked up tomorrow! He said the 7 seaters are facing delays but the 5 seaters are ahead.

make absolutely sure it's the one you ordered with all the options you wanted. That seems like a very short lead time for an incredibly popular car

Thanks GavMan, I collected the car yesterday and checked everything and all was 100% there. Very happy with this car, the interior and exterior quality of it is remarkable. The sales guy said the 5 seaters are jumping the 7 seater queues as there are some supply problems specific to the 7 seater. He remarked he has someone that ordered a 7 seater last Feb that won't be getting it until August.

My Kodiaq Built on 9/7. Any Idea how long it takes to arrive in Athens-Greece?

This is an Irish website so highly unlikely anyone here would know. Check with your dealer.

if ordering in May and collecting in July/August would you get a 171 or 172

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,702 ✭✭✭✭bazz26

It goes by date of first registration not when it was ordered.

We looked at one recently and they wouldn't commit to a delivery date at all. Would need to wait a couple of weeks (after paying a deposit) for confirmation of production date etc.
They were also pushing the 2.0 diesel as easier to source at the moment than the 1.4 petrol - not sure about resale value 5-years down the road though.
