Solarfest at Dunsink on Sat, June 17th

    Hi all,

    Dunsink Observatory in Dublin plays host next weekend to the annual Solarfest event celebrating our nearest star. All are welcome and the event is free. Registration is at https://payments.dias.ie though people come and go during the day so there are always places. If coming for the full day then bring a packed lunch (tea/coffee is available though).

    10:30 Registration - Tea/Coffee
    10:50 Welcome Address
    11:00 Brian MacGabhann - Einstein Made (Relatively) Simple
    11:45 Pete Williamson - Solar Imaging & Processing Made Simple
    12:30 Samuel Bleyen - Sunspot Classification and Measurement
    13:00 LUNCH incl observatory tour and solar observing
    Please bring your own picnic. Tea/Coffee provided.
