My younger brother (24) is looking into becoming a chef (Please excuse the title spelling)......I'm not a great lover of his tea but he does like cooking.

He's currently in the motor trade (graphics and body kits) and earns approx 30k after some long hours overtime

We both had a look and commis chef seem to be making 18k so it would be a massive drop in salary. Is this correct and do the wages increase quickly?
