Hope I'm posting in the correct area. I am a small business and a customer cancelled a booked with me, 3 days notice. This has never happened me before,

They signed a contract stating no cancellations within 3 months of the event date.

It is a fee of 350 euro, small to some. A lot to me. I don't think they would have even cancelled if I hadn't got in touch to confirm details.

They paid a non refundable deposit 14 months ago when's they confirmed the booking.

I thought I could do small claims but as it is a debt they do not not cover these.

Is a solicitor the best way to go? I have sent two emails and phone calls all with no reply. They simply text me to say event was cancelled. But unfortunately with the power of social media the event very much went ahead!

    Thanks in advance,
