Hi, i notice over the last few days that my Sky+ (older sky HD box) signal has reduced a lot: 50% in strength (top bar on setup screen) and around 50% to 25% on Quality (lower bar on setup screen)

roughly the same signal to both cables from the dish.

i also notice that the signal drops big time when its raining heavy.

UK channels (BBC/CH4 seem to be less effected, RTE, SKY channels and all the others are effected)

i checked the dish just to make sure it hasn't fallen or hanging off the roof.

if looks the same from the untrained eye, maybe a bird has landed on it and its misaligned .

before i spend money and call out someone to look at it, i just want to be sure that its wasn't something "in the air" that was causing this or the high/low pressure weather over the weekend ( 9/10/11 June 2017).

did anyone else have similar issues as me?

Sounds like your dish has been slightly misaligned or maybe the Lnb is on its way out.

Best thing to do first is check that the connection going in to the Sky box and also the connection in to the LNB on the dish are solid, could be a chance either has loosened, after that you need to as was said look at dish alignment.

    Low Noise Block downconverter

The unit at the end of the dish arm that collects the reflected signal from the dish.
