I bought these fabulous shoes for wearing with my wedding dress.....I really have my heart set on them.

Tried them on with my wedding dress and the glitter is snagging the skirt, which is satin/silky material. I really don't want to get new shoes, bit am apprehensive about trying to seal the shoes to make a smoother surface and ruining them  does anyone have any experience doing something similar?? Please please please??!!
I've posted a url incase the attachment didn't work!

I can't help really but I do sympathise. I had a lacy outer skirt thing on my dress which meant I couldn't buy any wedding shoes or sandals with anything that might catch on it. It did really restrict my choice of shoes as most wedding shoes seem to be sparkly! I went with Ruby Shoos in the end. Best of luck finding a solution.

I'm going to probably have the same issue, I'm hoping that hairspray might help with the snagging a little bit aside from that I'm stumped!

Clear nail varnish was the first thing that occured to me, but I thought it *might* dry hard and crack. I might try alittle on the bottom of a heel and see...il ask the dressmaker about the fabric option too. I was just hoping someone had found a quick fix for this before me!!

On one of the Facebook groups there were women discussing this and many suggested Modge Podge or PVA glue so perhaps google this and see what comes up. I believe it dries clear and doesn't crack but I'd test in an inconspicuous area first.

Yes actually modge podge would be great. There's a fabric one you can get which should be flexible enough to move with the shoes.

Ok, I'm going to try the fabric modge podge on a cheap/old pair of shoes first and see how I get on. Thanks for the advice folks!

I had Jenny Packham shoes too! They were more detailed with diamonte's in metal clasps and my dress had two layer - silk and mesh. And they caught on my dress loads (What was i thinking!!). It actually wasn't that bad though, I got used to them during the day and held my dress up when walking but they did snag a bunch of times. I totally forgot to put nail varnish on them before the day. If you know they're gonna catch, try some nail polish on the heel and see if it works. If it works it should be fine for the day as you hardly see the shoes, but they might not be wearable again.

Also, pro tip!! If you have any outside time on grass at your wedding get those things that go on your heels and stop you sinking in grass. I wasn't too bad but my bridesmaids were totally sinking during the photos!
