Should I have a web scraper project on my GitHub?

I'm building a little tkinter tool which is essentially a web scraping tool. I'm just wondering does it look bad/unprofessional/unethical to put such a tool on a GitHub where future clients/employers might see it?

Web scraping itself is a bit of a grey area when it comes to the rights and wrongs.

    Thoughts?

Mostly phone directories. It actually looks kind of like a spammers tool (although I don't use it for spamming people). It's why I'm a little hesitant to put it up.

Can you not just include a readme with the project describing the purpose/application of it...

Scraping in itself isn't inherently bad. It's just a data source.
