I've been trying to grow out my fringe for a couple of months now. I have curly hair, but had a fringe for s few years which I straightened out with a straightener. Now that I'm trying to grow it out, it's looking really straight and It looks over straightened, not really going into a wave like it used to. Typical when it used to go so curly when I didn't want it to! It's even taking ages to grow out, much longer than I expected it to!

Is there anything I can use to help it get back to looking a bit more healthy?

Instead of using a straightener why don't you blow dry it straight? It wont be so sleek and an obvious different texture to the rest of your hair. Fringes usually reach an awkward stage while growing out where they just wont sit right, hair only grows about 2 inches every month and a half so it will take a year or longer until its grown out completely. Have you tried wearing a clip or hair band to push it back?

I pin it back a lot as its not quite tucking behind my ears so its driving me a bit mad! If I have my hair down I tend to just leave it. I might try blow drying it instead to see if I can get it to sit a bit better. I stopped straightening it a few weeks ago, so its not so much I want it straight, but just not sure how to style it now!
Its typical it takes so long to grow now, and when I didn't want it growing, it seemed to always get too long! lol
