Broken key

My car key broke today, the metal casing that keeps the key in the fob snapped off (surprisingly easily). Had anyone any ideas how to fix it or get a new one without paying the crazy money for an entirely new key?

    It's a 2010 insignia.

Replying to my own post because I can't figure out how to add a photo to my OP.

The likes of lock doctor can replace the casing, they quoted me €65 for a Hyundai flip key.

I know you can get bits off eBay alright, but not sure how tricky this would be.

Including coding ? Seems pretty reasonable. How much do you think a key should cost ?

I had the exact same issue with a Hyundai flip key, the break looked identical to yours.
Repaired it over a year ago with some metal epoxy type glue. Its been perfect since.

Edit: I wasnt sure what glue I used initially but found it in the end.
