Radiators not working

    Hi All,

I have recently moved to a new house and can't get the radiators to work. This is what I have as supporting information:

    - There are radiators in both floors and they are all cold. I have set all thermostats to maximum.
    - The hotpress is in the second floor and the gauge is at 1. Hot water is working fine in both floors.
    - The boiler is a Volkera Mynute 24m in the first floor. When I turn it on, the led shows a red/orange light for 2 seconds and then turns into a flashing green light. I have tried all combinations with the switches.
    - I did't try to vent the radiators because it seems I need a key for it and I would like to know if I can rule it out as a problem before looking for it.
    - There was someone living here before me, so I suppose things were working fine before. I am probably just missing something simple instead of a 'this thing is not working, change it' kind of solution.

Thank you very much for any kind of support, I couldn't get any help from the landlord, couldn´t find on internet a solution from similar threads and I've never dealt with these things before.

    Thanks,
    John

Hard to judge, John. The impeller pump, that pushes the hot water around may be seized. Its usually just after the boiler on the output pipe. When the boiler comes on that should run too. Makes little noise, but if you put your hand to it, you'll know if its running.

If the boiler is firing fine and staying on to get up to temp that should be fine.is the house zoned up and down and is there switches somewhere for the zoned rads.these switches could be off so it's only heating water and not rads.set the upstairs stats a fraction above the downstairs stats only not at max. If it's zoned the switches are probably off for the rads and the valves are closed.if this works turn on down stairs rads first for hour or two and bleed them hot and then do upstairs.too much of a load on the boiler doing both if they are off a while.corculation pump must be ok if it's heating water.open screw on that and gently put in screwdriver to see if it's spinning when on.hope that helps.oyherwise a stuck valve or a air lock
