Turas Nua - missed 3 appointments, referred to S/W

I was genuinely sick and missed first appointment.
Had family crisis which meant I could not hitch hike the long distance to the next 15 minute appointment.
Missed last appointment as was on holidays and had not informed them. I did fill in and send the S/W holiday form but did not contact Turas Nua as I thought they'd be informed automatically. My mistake.
Also, since missing my earlier appointments, which I rang and emailed them about, I had met at other dates. So we had still been meeting.
I had not heard back from Turas Nua for about a month after missing my second appointment and thought they'd forgotten about me :)
I got appointment letter while I was away and rang them to explain. They said as I had missed 3 successive appointments my case was referred to S/W for review. I asked if dole would be stopped and they said maybe.
This was a few days ago and I'm worried dole will be cut and I'll have to re-apply.
Anyone had experience of being cut off because of missing appointments ?

The last comment on this thread seems to answer my question. I will call S/W on Monday and let you know how it goes.

Well, you probably called them already at this late stage, but the best practice is to visit your local Intreo office in person and explain your personal situation. Unless you are a long distance away in the country and public transport is a problem, then a phone-call will suffice to gather information on what to do next. Your payment will be returned when you visit your Intreo local office, but you might have to wait a few days. This can only happen if you are willing to fully engage with Jobpath/Turas Nua.

    Best of luck

    Oort

Individual people have different thoughts and understanding in regard to others opinions, but the problem is this... there are some people out there that will do everything in their power to cut you off when they do not like your opinion even when it is truth.
