Freeview channels lost

Any assistance would be appreciated here... at home we have a Panasonic TV (I don't have the model number but the TV is at least 6 yrs old and is compatible with this remote (TZZ00000007A)). Up until 3 weeks ago, we had most of the Freeview channels and all of the Saorview ones. Now the Freeview channels are gone. Tried to retune the TV but the channels are gone. Also there's no software update due from what I can see. I'm guessing that we were picking up a Freeview signal from the North as we live about 15 miles from the Fermanagh border (South Leitrim). Some neighbours in thr area have also lost channels. Any idea what could be up?

These are the NI Freeview transmitters - https://ukfree.tv/maps/bbc/6

I assume your Freeview transmitter is Brougher Mt - https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Brougher_Mountain

Did you receive all channels carried on the 6 multiplexes?

No planned engineering work on that transmitter that I can see. Might be a problem with your reception equipment, aerial etc. Do you have separate aerials for both Saorview and Freeview?

Brougher would be right. We only got some the channels... about 25 from memory. Neighbours were able to get the full range. We only have the one aerial. It's a strange one ... more than likely equipment related.

You're probably receiving the 3 full power PSB muxes carrying the likes of BBC, UTV etc. The 3 commercial muxes transmit at about one-tenth the power.

Might be an idea to get a professional installer in to install a dedicated aerial for Freeview reception to get all channels and sort out any reception problems.

Probably pointing north, & you're close enough to RTE's Cairn Hill transmitter (Longford) to not bother with a separate aerial for Irish TV?
