Hi all Im in the process of buying a new (to me) van. Last time I changed when I went to tax it at the commercial rate I got a letter from my employer stating I needed my van to carry my tools for work. This was accepted. I've currently started a new job (4weeks in) and was wondering would they check my pps number to see who my current employer is as it's going to be more difficult to get a letter from them stating the same (county council)

    They don't check k PPS.
If it requires a doe you will need it done.
You also need to show your commercial insurance policy document ( not disc) and a declaration of goods form.
If you have not weighed it for previous tax, you need a weight socket if above 3500 kg
