Working for an Orthopedics company but leaving my job in a few months.

Im currently under a fixed contract in an Orthopedics company and Im working under a Probationary period. Im still being trained in at the moment, and I'm worried about this because I'm planning on leaving in early August to move to another country. I'm worried that they will ask me to pay the money back for the training. They have already been training me for 3 months.

My contracts, says I'm currently under a probationary period, which can be extended to 9 months. My contract also says, while under the probationary period I have to give them a weeks notice in writing if I want to leave. My contract doesn't mention anything about training and having to pay back training money if I leave too early. So I'm just wondering does my contract have to mention this, in order for them to request I pay back the training costs?

I also signed a second document which they never gave me a copy of, so I'm worried about that as well. Its a document on how they can terminate my contract when ever they want. Im worried there might be more information in that about training costs.

Any help, advice, legal advice would be great! :) I'm getting alot of anxiety over this.

Just more details on the training:
The job I'm doing involves making knee prosthetics, there is a lot of training in this company, just so I get it right. There is no formal end date of the training, they are training me in till I'm ready to be certified within the company. I'm guessing when I'm certified I might be out of the probationary period, but then later you get trained in on other tasks so I don't know. They are not sending me to an educational institutional to be trained. Im being trained in on the job. Since the last month, I've doing a lot of the work for the trainer as it is, as he's going around doing other tasks. So I must be making them some money but I'm not signing off on any products.

Im on a fixed term contract for 11 months. But I intend on leaving in early August. Im already 3 months into my employment so I may already be finished my Probationary period. The problem is my contract only states how much notice I need to give during my Probationary Period.

In the 'Period of Employment' section it says that provisions of the Unfair Dismisals Act(1997 to 2001) wont apply to the termination of the contract, where such termination is by reason only of expiry of this fixed term.

Then it says in the 'Probationary Period' section:
My employment will be probationary for 2 months which maybe extended at the companies discretion but not exceed 9 months. Termination of employment shall be at the discretion of the company and I will receive notice inline with the Minimum Notice and Terms of Employment act 1973 to 2001. If I want to resign during the probationary period I have to give one weeks notice in writing.

Does anybody know how much notice i have to give after probation?
I don't know why it doesn't give me any details on the notice of termination for AFTER the probation period. Then again I dont know if im to have a one to one with my employer before moving out of the probationary period. I will be certified for my job but from what people tell me they can still terminate me if I make a mistake. I also signed another document about how they can terminate me when they want. They never gave me a copy of it though..

No, you are free to leave with the one weeks notice. Debentures were done away with long ago.

Ah damn! that second message was meant to be a new thread. I just heard from other people that you might have to give a months notice when you leave the probationary period..
