    Just heard call sign Rescue 51 returning to the UK, Royal Air Force C-130 returning after helping yacht crews in trouble out in the Atlantic. Have not heard that call sign since the Nimrod retired

    I wonder was a request made to the Air Corps and turned down.

    An embarrassing state of affairs if that is the case.

    The incident was not in our area of operation, it had nothing to do with us it was a long way out and the Hercules was top cover, here is the story
