    Hi,
I have a Walker WP645TS-HD. I hadn't used it in a couple of years, its about 5 years old. Set it up on the 2nd tv recently. I can can only get the Irish channels. The satellite Auto scan isn't picking up anything. Tried installing the latest firmware from the walker website. Still no joy. Tried the TV TRADE website but that just redirected me to http://www.freetv.ie/saorview//.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Ray

You need to verify that it's receiving a satellite signal.

It's been a while since I did anything with one of these receivers but go to menu, setup and sat free installation.

It should tell u whether u have a signal or not.

You may need to configure the satellite settings, from memory I think you select direct connection.

    Tried that already, still nothing.

Have to ask the basic question, do you have 2 cables connected, with the relevant cable going to each tuner?

Hi Thurston, yes Its set up correctly.

And you're sure the connection between receiver & satellite dish is correct & unbroken? (Both for satellite frequencies & DC power.)

Did you install dish, cables, wallplates (if present) etc. yourself?

Yes, the cable and satellite are feeding another box which is working fine. I just need to know from someone who is using one of these boxes what firmware version they are using.

The same cable from the dish shouldn't really be feeding 2 boxes, though I doubt that's what you mean.

I don't think your problem is firmware related anyway, & if it seems like it's nothing outside of the box, probably best just to replace it.

Can you try the good box at the dodgy location to confirm the cables are OK?

Using 2 of these in work, one using v4.0 non sat4free, one using v3.8 in sat4free mode, both working fine.

Thanks. Can you confirm the settings for the sat on the v3.8 box?
