NCT: Very high lambda

Hi. Looking for some advise. I just put an older Celica turbo through the NCT and it failed on very high lambda readings (see picture). We have tested the lambda sensor using a voltmeter and it looks like it is working. The tester commented that there is a small blow out in the exhaust, which I realise can cause high readings, but this reading is 1.40 which looks very high to me. Thanks!

Recently had the hardship of putting a 3sgte through nct myself, had similar readings to yours - turned out to be a combination of a fecked cat, failed o2 sensor & basically porous exhaust.

I recommend closing off any leaks/blows and trying again in the hope it's not the cat..

Out of interest what gen of gt4 is it? :)

Thanks for the feedback. It's a gen6. I'm going to seal the exhaust this weekend as best I can and send it through again next week. Hopefully dont need to replace it. My HC and Co2 seem okay so hopefully the cat is good, but they may rise when I plug the hole(s).

The emissions test was Not Done in you case, so the readings on the printout are just random numbers. They may not relate to your car at all.

They put down not done when they fail for a leak in the exhaust.

Them readings are for that car.

As said seal any leaks and make sure there's no split hoses under the bonnet.

Sort out the leaks and put it through again
