Fiat Ducato FFB Tabbert 1996 Gear Box Problem

    Hi
    I have Fiat Ducato FFB Tabbert 1996, 139km
    I have started to experience a Gear Box Problem.
    When I change from 1st to 2nd Gear it makes a Crunching noise.
    No other gear changes have the problem.

    Can anyone advise
    What the problem might be,
    Who / How it might be repaired &
    Roughly how much it might cost.

    I personally would try changing the gearbox oil.
    See what kind of stuff comes out, metal filings/shavings etc.
    Refill with one of those MolySlip type gearbox additives and fill up with the proper grade gear oil.

    That might help short term, but down the road you are looking at a gearbox rebuild.

    Sorry, don't know what price you are looking at.
