    hey,

supposedly adverts.ie is free for a few months. i posted an ad a few days ago. i went to responsed to a few comments and i see this

"This ad is awaiting payment. To pay for this ad now, click here."

and i see my ad is removed.

dont you only pay when something is sold? its bad enough the site is full of time wasters but now they want you to pay before you even sell.

Probably the hundreds of scrotes who sell the item but refuse to mark it sold so they never pay.

There's no success fee for the three months but are you sure you didn't choose a Priority or Premium ad? They're still €3 and €5 respectively.

Just seen an email from them. They say my ad is for a service.

How is a combo box a service.

People do advertise on other sites too and that's why they withdraw without paying. I have put about 20 things up on adverts and done deal.
only ever sold 1 from adverts. Done deal has far less time wasters.

If you've mentioned anything about installation it's a service.

Edit: I saw on Google cache you're selling a dreambox like device. Only stores tend to sell those so you probably got caught up in an algorithm that assumed you are a store not a sole seller. Just contact them about it.

Never said a word about installation. I said in comments to a guy he could get it fitted for about 50.

I never said I was going to fit it.

messaged them and got no response.

posted the ad again and they again withdrew the ad. i even wrote a note at the end saying this is not a service and i do not provide installation. they dont have time to respond to my message but they do to take down an advert.

it will be the last time i ever deal with adverts.ie

looks like DONE DEAL is the only way to go if selling online.

of thats the case why are all these stores able to have ads up? which blantly say they are providing a service in the advert.

also these stores are selling boxes that are supposedly supposed to be genuine new receivers, but are providing them cheaper than genuine new receivers with a year’s sub. So they must be clones.

    anyway its sold now. :)
