Hi, i've had my age card for over 3 years and the picture is so worn and blurry now and a nightclub last weekend wouldn't accept it, i did have my driving license but still annoying. Can i get a new one or does it have to be reported as lost or stolen? Thanks in advance

If you have a driving licence which has your DOB, why do you need an age card too?

Id ditch the age card, there just for the recently turned 18 year olds. drivers license or passport will do.

You can order a replacement (there used to be no way but that was changed).

Because for certain offences around serving Drink the only valid defence is that a Garda Age card was produced.

Id prefer lose my age card while I'm out than my passport or drivers license tbh.

Would a valid domestic driving licence and it's registered DOB not also count as due diligence?

    Thanks for that. Really Interested

...I knew that some offences, including those covered by the intoxicating liquor act were strict liability offences - I just didn't realise that ID which show DOB considered imperative under some aspects of the law are, despite all being administered by the same government, completely worthless in others....confused.com
