HJ Hussey Shotguns

Hi Folks,

This is a rather specific request for a friend. It's a very very long shot that anybody knows where there are any of these for sale but I'll give it a go.

He is ideally looking for a pair of shotguns of a specific make/s but would consider buying just one if that is all that is available.

My friend is searching for a pair of either HJ Hussey, Hussey and Hussey and to a lesser degree Lang and Hussey or Harrison and Hussey in either a 'best' or imperial grade sidelock ejector. See, I told you he was being specific.

I am told that these were manufactured between 1890 and 1920.

I know it's a long long shot but does anybody here know if there are any for sale anywhere?

I'm guessing tac will be along to let me know if they can be gotten anywhere (seeing as he is big into old guns).

The uk guntrader is your friend as you can search by maker. Another way to find an old gun is keep an eye on Holts auction house. The thing about old side by sides, or any old gun in Ireland is they are usually in shocking condition unless you are very lucky. Corrosive ammunition leading to pitted barrels, amateur bodged repairs and downright neglect are very common.
