    Good afternoon everyone

I've just been invited to take part in a group interview four Aldi. Has anyone on here done or know anyone that has done one of these types of interview and know what's involved in the process?

I'm worried as I'm not the most socially apt person and suffer from social anxiety so I want to do my best to prepare as much as possible for the experience.

    Hi,
I currently work in aldi in a management position.
I applied just over two years ago and back then the interview consisted of a Numerical pattern test and a maths test (basic adding and subtracting) on which you were timed.
Then we were put into small groups and given a survival scenario to which we had to work in a group to come up with the best answers.
One person from each group has to stand up and explain how and why you came to find your answers.

Personally I think if you are an anxious and socially awkward person Aldi may not be the best place to work as you have to deal with alot of pressure round the clock and sometimes rude customers.

Money is good if that's what you're after but you will work for every cent .

That been said it has it has good points and if you do go for it I suggest you come across as confident and strong as that's what they will want to see.

    Best of luck

    Ah I see, can I ask why/

Also wondering if you remember at all how long you waited after the group interview to hear back?

If you aren't progressing do you hear nothing or do they let you know you're finished?

    Thanks!!

I was there nearly 3 years and it's a quite taxing job.
As far as I know they only get back to you if you're successful in the group interview.

How long ago did you have it??

Yeh I know it is very challenging all right!!

    Only earlier this week!
I want it so much, it would honestly be the perfect job for me, so i'm just anxious to hear back! haha
    Hopefully I will soon!

Do you know how important the aptitude tests in the group interview are?

Can I jump in and ask a quick question please? I’ve been invited to the store for a 2 hour trial. I’m so nervous and I’ve no idea what to wear. I assume they will put me through paces in storeroom stocking shelves etc so I’m guessing not a suit like for the interview. Would slacks and a shirt be ok? Any ideas on what to expect would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hey Danois,

My interview was only in an office so I can't help you there I'm afraid :(
I would say that slacks and shirt would be perfect, but thats only my opinion!
    Best of Luck!!
