Mixing different brands of spark plugs

So I ordered service items for a 97 1litre vw polo from a place online.
Got everything bar 3 spark plugs ( only got 1 in the packet) so after a few emails they said they,d send on the other 3.
Fast forward 3 weeks,I only received 1 more plug.
They are now giving me a refund since they can't get me 2 of the other plugs.
Is it OK to mix these plugs with 2 other ones that will probably be different brands.?

Can you not get the same brand elsewhere? You would be better to stick to the same type of plug for all four

Try Ebay, Micks Garage or a main dealer for the car you have, should be possible to get any plug still made easy enough online. I wouldn't mix them, either get 4 new ones of another brand or source 2 more of the brand/spec you have.

Spark plugs are cheap. Go into any autofactors and get 4 matching plugs and be done with it.

Sound lads will try maybe motor factors tomorrow for them.
    There champion EON6/286 plugs.
Is there a reason why not to mix?
    Different mm gaps?

Even if you have marginally different performance between them, it can't be good. That said you'd often replace just one coil pack out of 4 which could have the same effect.
For the sake of the cost of a few plugs, just do it right.
