I have purchased a house that has plastic bathroom panels in the main bedroom and the kitchen. I understand they can be a fire hazard so I was going to remove them in the kitchen, will i also need to remove them in the bedroom?

No but i would be worried they are hiding a bigger problem like mould or similar. Mould can be particularily dangerous when covered over in this way as is some cases it actually further promotes growth.

yes, hidden mold would be one of my concerns but I managed to pull a corner out and looks ok and no bad smells etc.....

No need to remove them so, once you are satisfied they arent hiding issues.

They probably wont look the most stylish but will do you for a while.
