Hi so we have decided to take the plunge and are hoping to get married next spring, unless we can't get venue etc then will be Autumn. We are from cork.
So I am on the hunt for a good band. I have seen many in my time and of course cannot remember any names.
I'm looking for a band that isn't known as a wedding band if that makes sense. Something a bit different with both males and female singers.
There won't be many older people at it so won't have waltzs and the like. Anyone have any recommendations please?

First band which comes to mind is the Papa Zitas, I will never forget how much I danced at a wedding they played at, and how they got everyone up and dancing! Cool selection of tunes for a younger crowd (and plenty for the few older people too), great vocals, band, brass section, entertainment. One of Cork's busiest bands so you'd want to snap them up as soon as you've decided your date. Plenty more good bands in Cork too but I'd be starting with them!
