What shoulder covering would suit this wedding dress?

I'm getting married at the end of August. I've bought this dress from Ted Baker's pop up bridal store, and these are the shoes I'm going to wear. (They look much cuter and sparklier in real life.) So far that's all I've got, no accessories other than jewellery I already own. I'll probably have my hair in a pony-tail upstyle (I've seen some nice ones on Kate Beckinsale) & I might make some kind of small hair ornament. I don't want to look like I'm in fancy dress, or even hear the words "Imelda May" (which I can guarantee my mother will say when she sees me).

Could anyone suggest a shoulder cover that would go with the dress? There is a matching bolero jacket thing made by Ted Baker in the same fabric, but I'm not a fan of it. It's too "officey" looking, and the sleeves were way too long on me. (I'm 5ft2.)

    Other things I'm thinking of:
Non-matching blazer - still a bit too officey?
Cardigan - is that a bit "nice" or dowdy?
Pashmina - will I be all the time adjusting it and trying not to drop it
Fake fur shrug - is this a bit OTT?
Some lacey shoulder covering - no idea where I'd find this, but would it be too much with the textured fabric in the dress?
Short cape - waaaay OTT? :P Something fitted might look better as the skirt is quite poofy and I might wear a petticoat.

The wedding is the end of August, so hopefully the weather will behave and we'll get a nice day. Another reason for looking for a shoulder cover is that I'm not a fan of fake tan and I know that I'm likely to have somewhat freckley & stripey shoulders / arms / chest by that late in the summer. I wear sunscreen any time I know I'll be out in the sun, but just from the odd bit of being out & about, I know I'll have new freckles. So some covering might make this less obvious in the photos!

I'm not great at putting outfits together, so any advice or suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Congratulations OP! :) I'm getting married this September! Its so hard to know what will look best. I think your dress is stunning, so fresh and modern with a vintage twist. If it were me I think a short cape would loo lovely and finish it off. Something like the attached?

Folkster would do vintage style capes. I also saw feathery bolero-type things in Debenhams about a month ago, they were Jenny Packham ones.

By the way the dress and shoes are beautiful, I think a ponytail style would work really well them.

These are excellent suggestions, thank you ladies! I just had no idea where to even start or what would be suitable.

I will pop into Folkster and Debenhams on my way home this evening, then probably spend the rest of the evening on lightinthebox and looking online at delicate capes. I think that could work really well for masking freckley-patches too! :-)

Is that only the bridal folkster in Kilkenny?

I was thinking of the one in Dublin, but whether they would be bridal enough is another thing if a cream/white/ivory one is required.

Just looked on their website, there are a few that would probably suit in the 'Tops' section of their clothing.
