Decent prizes for a golf society?

    Hey,

By accident, I'm organising a golf society with work. I'm not much of a golfer.

I have budget to cover a prize worth €200 for a team of 4 and two individual prizes worth €70. I was thinking of getting 4 €50 vouchers from McGuirks for the team prize and two sets of green fees (two pairs x 2) for Castleknock or somewhere similar for the individual prizes.

How does that sound? Is it lazy getting vouchers? People have paid €45 to play the round.

    Thanks
    Beau

One for all vouchers are the way to go imo.

From my experience of running a couple of societies, an envelope with cash in it is a much more welcome and appreciated prize than something they may not want. Society golfers don't always have the same affection /affliction for buying golf equipment as member golfers tend to have.

Fair bit of time people tend to bring prizes back into store where they were purchased for store credit regardless, so vouchers work best I would imagine!

Another vote for one for all vouchers. We have used them for years now in my work society. Golf related prizes were nothing but grief. Everyone loves them.
