US waiver programme drugs?

So last week I was at a festival and was caught with a small amount of drugs. I was told by the garda that i wont be convicted and a charitable donation will be as far as this goes,but im going to america next month for 2 and a half weeks. One kf the questions on the visa waiver form asks 'have you ever violated any law…

So last week I was at a festival and was caught with a small amount of drugs. I was told by the garda that i wont be convicted and a charitable donation will be as far as this goes,but im going to america next month for 2 and a half weeks. One kf the questions on the visa waiver form asks 'have you ever violated any law relating to possessing, using or distributing illegal drugs?' I dont know how I should go about answering this. I havent been issued a summons to court yet and wont be for 6-9 months I was told.
