Any advice on negotiating a deal with Joe Duffy, they don't appear to be prepared to negotiate the price of the car, saying the price is the price. Is this the norm?

I'd never pay an Irish dealer's asking price. There is nearly always a bit of wiggle room in it even if it is very keenly priced against other dealers selling similar cars. Was the price given over the phone or were you sitting in front of them? You will never get the best price over the phone as they deal with time wasters ringing them everyday. Also have you priced a similar car elsewhere? What type of car is it and how well priced is it against similar ones?
