    Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any experience of traveling on the N24 between Cashel and Limerick. Will be starting a new job in Limerick and I'm planning to drive each day. I'm new to the area so wondering how safe the road is. I have heard its quite bad and dangerous in stretches.

I have travelled it from Tipp Town to Limerick anyway and have no particular issues with it

I regularly drive Limerick – Tipperary town, while it may not be the best road I would not consider it bad or dangerous. Tipperary town can be a pain to drive through if you hit it at the wrong time though. Depending on where in Limerick you are driving to you may need to allow for traffic at the Limerick end once the summer is over.

Probably the worst section is one you miss, the section from Cahir to Tipp.

After Tipperary town it's narrow and winding until you get beyond Dromkeen and then the road widens considerably.

Cashel to Tipp Town isn't part of the N24. It's an R road I think and like most R roads these days it's pretty poor. Winding, narrow and not in the best of condition. Once you get to Tipp Town the stretch to Limerick is OK. Lots of speed traps but decent road. Tipp Town to Clonmel is the death trap section of the N24 especially the stretch to Chair.

It's actually a national secondary route, N74 through Golden and Kilefeakle.
