Hi all, I've seen some old threads about this but as you can probably guess I've a Renault Megane 2005. The card key is coming up as card not detected in the slot. I'm using a knife (as seen on youtube) to get the car started. I've been quoted €120 by a local mechanic who is going to reprogram the computer to a new key. The buttons to open and unlock the car don't work very often, maybe 50% of the time. I've seen DIY fixes but I'm useless at that stuff. Anyone have any reliable people they go to for this stuff? Im based in Kerry

Just get a new key, 120 is not bad price. those keys are know to give issues and any fix will not likely last long / leave you stranded.

If the buttons are working intermittently then the card is on its way out. Get a new one
