    Hi all,

Any advice on fixed frame screens?
Looking at a fixed frame and the optomo gt5000 ultra short throw to replace the current main tv.
Have a pull down screen with the Benq W1070 in the front room but like the idea of a fixed frame with the short throw for the back room layout wise.

No idea what my budget should be.

I've seen some well reviewed 92" ones for around 300 so around that I suppose?

Go the DIY route, see here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055239216 or loads of other places on the net for other examples. You can use blackout lining used in curtain making as a starter screen material, or buy purpose made material online - here for example https://www.leinwandbau.info/en/screen-fabric-sold-by-the-meter/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3LDq8LjH1AIVgr_tCh10PQ33EAAYASAAEgIGdvD_BwE. I'm pretty sure they do velvet for a screen surround too. Going this route should stay well within your budget and should perform as well as a fixed screen costing many multiples of the cost.

Just bear in mind to calculate the exact screen size correctly first so that everything lines up properly when you're done.

    Ritz.
