PNY Attaché 4 256Gb USB 3.0 Memory Stick

£41.95 + free shipping (if you have Prime Membership)

I've had this on 'watch' for a while waiting for it to hit £42

Any issues with it- Amazon customer services are brilliant.

Quite remarkable for a 256Gb memory stick- I remember I upgraded my first computer to 64Mb of RAM- and the 64Mb cost me over £600......... Different times........

And quite slow for the times
    - Write Speed: up to 20MB/s (on 3.0 port)
    - Read Speed: up to 80MB/s (on 3.0 port)

Sheesh. That's 3.5 hours to fill at the max write speed. No thanks.

Thats presuming you have 256Gb of stuff to put on a memory stick in the first place- and even if you did- you'd hardly be putting everything on the stick in one foul swoop.

Horses for courses though- I backed up my hard-drives today- it took 8 hours.......

Really you are far better off getting a smaller fast unit for everyday use.

    €56, 150+ read, 65+ write. 64GB is only €25. Also its TINY.
